Galvanizing paint, also known as cold galvanizing or zinc-rich coating, is a high-performance protective coating containing 92–95% zinc. It provides sacrificial galvanic protection against corrosion, similar to hot-dip galvanizing, but is applied at ambient temperatures, making it ideal for on-site applications.

This coating is commonly used on structural steel, new metal surfaces, and field repair work, especially where traditional galvanizing is not practical. The high zinc content protects the steel by corroding in place of the base metal, effectively preventing rust. Even if the coating is damaged, the surrounding zinc continues to protect exposed areas, offering a self-healing effect.

Galvanizing paint is durable, easy to apply by brush, roller, or spray, and performs reliably in industrial, coastal, and marine environments. Proper surface preparation, such as abrasive blasting or thorough cleaning, ensures strong adhesion and long-lasting protection.
